Make your way prosperous.
Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt MAKE thy way prosperous and then thou shalt Have good success”.
The process of making things happen is a very serious activity. To make is to act . Action is demanded of you if you must have or posses the inheritance that is rightly yours i.e success positive action by you is very essential to good success. In fact I have seen it again and again and have come to the conclusion that no action no success. Notice the following paragraph very well, please underline the next sentence.
Heaven cannot act until you act, it is the seriousness of your action that get God to be committed to your course. Let’s see Judges 14: 5,6 “Then went Samson down, and his father and His mother, to Timnath, and come to the vineyard of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. And the spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him. And he rent him as he would have rent a kid, And he had nothing in his hand: but he told not His father or his mother what he had done”.
Samson was not a man of mere words, many speak and act not, but not Samson. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him but he needed to act; The spirit of the Lord would not kill the lion for him, that was his own responsibility . The spirit of the Lord have a responsibility of filling you with power and might but you have to do what is to be done. God will not do it for you; you have to do it with His help, but know this for sure it is your responsibility to do it, otherwise it will not be done, this is very important.
The Bible says in Phil. 4: 13, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me, yes, but you have to do it, you have to take action. Go out and do something about your business; do something about your marriage; do something about your life; take action NOW. God told Elijah to anoint Elisha as prophet who would take over from him, yet Elijah told Elishaa, you have responsibility, you must take action, you must see me when I depart. It takes action, alertness and sensitivity to accomplish that. (see I kings 19:16, II Kings 2:9,10).
Somebody met with me sometimes and assured me that he had been taking action and yet without no result. I told him to keep on; action with persistence takes you to great height. There is no mountain you cannot climb; no problem is unsolvable; there is a key to have laid them before you. The fear of God; to seek first the Kingdom of God; speaking the word of God to your situation; meditating on the Word; becoming an excited doer of the word; observing every detail of it, and taking action to make your way prosperous. Take these spiritual steps and you are on your way to the good success God promised you before the foundation of the world. Success is your heritage.
