Speaking God ‘s word to your life: Joshua 1:8

You have to understand that God’s word is as powerful as God. God is His word. God works by His word, the word of God is the work of God. Things and brings were created by the word of God. Genesis Chapter one is full of “And God said, let there be and there was”. All things in the universe respond to words, especially the WORDS of GOD. God’s WORD are timeless, they are the truth, they work two thousand years ago, they will work ten thousand years to come. God’s Words can not be out of date or out of fashion. The Word is universal, it works in Africa as powerfully as it does in South America. It produces the same result anytime, anywhere it is used by people with faith.
Jesus spoke the word to the raging sea and there was calm and peace. Joshua spoke to the moon and the earth, and the earth did not rotate for twenty four hours. Ezekiel spoke to dry bones and they become living human beings. Jesus spoke to Lazarus, a man dead for four days and he came up alive. The word of God is as powerful now as it was then . the word of God can perform as much miracle now as it ever did at any time in history. The word of God is the same. Jesus spoke to a tree and it not only die, it also withered from the root.And Jesus our Lord said, if you and I follow his word, mountains will hear us and obey us. Why will mountain obey your word of command by faith? The reason is that mountains were made by the word of God and so they must respond to the word of faith. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:3 that, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear”.
This means that everything we see is not made of things which can be seen on the physical, they are made by words.
Jesus had to pay his tax, he didn’t have any money in his pocket so he sent Peter to go and catch a fish. He assured Peter that when he open the mouth of the fish, he would find money, enough to pay the taxes of both of them. When Peter caught the fish , true to the WORD of the master, he found money inside the mouth of the fish. Have you ever wondered how the money got to the fish’s mouth? The money got to the mouth of the fish immediately Jesus spoke those words. The words of Jesus framed the money into the mouth of the fish. Why because “the worlds were by the word of God” see Heb11:3. This include the world of money. The money Peter got from the mouth of the fish was not made of things which do appear, they were made by the WORD of the creator of heaven and earth even Jesus Christ.
Speak the word
If you have the understanding of the thoughts expressed in the above paragraph, then you will see with me the need for you to constantly speak the word of God to your life and situation. Many people talk about their lives and situations, they speak about what they are going through, they tell us how that the devil is having an upper hand in their lives. You see, to succeed and excel, you have to go beyond speaking about your life. You have to begin to speak the WORD of God to your life.
Stop saying I am weak begin to say the joy of the Lord is my strength Nehemiah 8:10 stop saying , I am broke (or poor) start saying, But my God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus . Phil 4:19 . Never open your mouth to say I am sick and dying, you should rather say I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord Psalm 118:17 If you are the type that speaks to your situation, you will never blame or condemn anybody for anything you are going through, you will just know what to do and say. You will be too sure that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You will walk tall, your confidence will know no bounds.Everybody will begin to notice the new you, the difference will be as clear as noon day. Even when you miss it , you refuse to say I am a sinner but you will say if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1: 8,9.
This attitude will keep you away from sin because you know that you have been cleansed from all sin (or unrighteousness).
The Bible says in Joshua 1:8 that “This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth but you shall medidate therein day and night that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein for then you shall make your way prosperous and then you shall have good success”.
The word of God is the book of the law, and it should not depart from your mouth. I have read Joshua 1:8 many times in the past but one day the Holy spirit opened my eyes to see it more clearly. The spirit said to me , Do you notice that I said the word should not depart from your mouth ? had always thought it says shall not depart from your eyes God meant to tell us that we should keep speaking the word in any situation we find ourselves. This is why the Bible also said in Romans 10: 8 that
“But what saith it ? The word is high thee, Even in thy mouth, and in thy heart that is the word of faith, which we preach”.
Until the word is spoken through your mouth, it will not work. The word will begin to work for you the day you begin to speak it, the more you give it expression through your mouth, the more miracles you will experience in life
Jesus also said in mark 11:23 that
“Verily, verily, I say unto you , that whosoever shall say unto his mountain , be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith”.
The high point in this discussion is “say” and the mountains will bow before whosoever shall say (or speak)unto it.
What are you waiting for? Begin to go everywhere with the word in your mouth and you will flow in the supernatural realm without struggling. Remember, the word works, the word creates, the word repairs and the word corrects – believe it. Speak God’s word and God will work.
